Burns Joinery and Roofing provide a comprehensive flooring service across Glasgow and central Scotland.
For generations, carpets have been one of the most popular types of flooring in houses around the country. But in recent decades advances in new materials have meant that there is now a wide range of flooring materials available that are suitable for any home and can be easily fitted by our expert joiners.
We off a full range of flooring options and will advise you on the suitability, look, durability and pricing of choices which include; vinyl, laminate, engineered wood, real wood and floor levelling.
There are a wide range of tones and finishes as well as grains that mean regardless of the size, shape and style of the room there is always one that works.
We specialise in supplying and fitting timber flooring which we commonly oil or lacquer to give a strong finish and great look to the wood. We can also provide re-application of finishes if they have become scratched or damaged.
Laminate flooring is made from high density fibreboard with a tough, wear-resistant coating added to it. This makes it easier to install than wood flooring and also more scratch resistant. It isn’t ideal for rooms with a high moisture content, such as bathrooms, but can work in most of the other rooms perfectly.
Depending on the type and condition of the original floorboards in the house, it can also be possible to simply renovate existing floorboards to provide you with a tailor-made solution. We will be able advise you on this option as well as insulation options.
Wood flooring has come to be one of the most popular alternatives to carpet.
